Tri-District Track and E-Cycling Reminder

On Wednesday May 16th there is a Junior High track meet at Woolsey Stadium, then on both Thursday May 17th and Saturday May 19th the Tri-District Track meet will be held in Woolsey Stadium, between 10am and 7pm.  This is usually a large event and parking will be managed on site.

This is the week of Crista’s Free Electronics Recycling and Shredding Day, taking place on Friday May 18th from 8:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m.  On the day of the event Access team members will be located on the lawn at the SE corner of campus with their Mobile Shred Truck.  Individuals are welcome to bring up to 2 bags of personal and private documents to be shredded at no charge.  Access Information Management will also provide Certificates of Destruction and Information about protecting private information and avoiding Identity Theft.

Please use the entrance off of King’s Drive with parking available along Fremont Avenue.  Signs will be posted directing you where to go.

Here is some additional information specifically regarding the shredding portion of the event:

Acceptable Items: Junk mail, receipts, statements, bills and other documentation are welcome.  We suggest shredding anything and everything that may have your name, address, social security number, phone number, or anything else that may be used to identify you.  You are not required to remove staples, paper clips, rubber bands, and/or small binders.  All clean paper and file folders, any color are acceptable for shredding.

Items not permitted: some examples of what cannot be shredded at this event: plastic bags, computer discs, CD’s DVD’s, VHS tapes, ID badges, microfiche, microfilm and x-rays.  Food waste, general office waste, bottles, glass, cans, ink and paint.  Biochemical waste, toxic substances, flammable 3-ring binders, hanging folders and medium to large clips.
